Born and bread in Mpumalanga, Xolani Sibonelo Nkosi (CHEESEBOY) was born sometime back in the eighties on January 3 and grew up in Kanyamazane. After having completed his matric at Sitintile High School he furthered his studies at Nelspruit Medi-Clinic and studied Nursing. While still in high school he loved Radio and was a big supporter of a community radio station in Barberton (BCR). During his time at Medi-Clinic; he met and befriended Khutso Mamabolo (Vibe) who was a radio presenter at BCR. Vibe invited him to the studio a couple of times and that’s when the radio “BUG” bit him.
After having worked at Medi-Clinic for 2 years; he decided it was time to move on and applied for employment at (BCR). In November 2007 he joined the station and worked there until January 2008; and in February 2008 he joined Ligwalagwala fm. Due to unforeseen circumstances they had to let go of him after only being there for a year. A new community radio station opened in Kanyamazane (KASIFM) and he joined them in November 2011. Moving ever upwards he joined RISE fm; Mpumalanga’s only commercial radio station in 2014.
